Our story

you kept asking. we kept cooking.

Our restaurant closed. The requests for Aunty's food didn't.

It started in our restaurant

before the pouches, there was aunty.

For twenty years, people came for my mum Daksha's cooking and my dad Kishor's warm welcome. To our regulars, they were simply Uncle and Aunty.

I grew up in that kitchen. Standing on a milk crate, stirring pots, serving guests. Food was the family business long before it was mine.

When the restaurant closed

“where can we get your food now?”

We closed just before the pandemic. Within weeks, people were asking for our food again. I wanted to get those flavours back into their kitchens, without asking them to spend hours cooking.

The idea that stayed

trust me aunty.

For a while, it was just a sticky note on my kitchen cabinet. I didn't know what it would become. I knew I wasn't ready to let it go.

Hey hi hello. I'm Juhi.

mum's recipes. your weeknight.

I went back to school for food processing and product development, then got to work turning my mum's recipes into mixes you could actually use on a busy night.

We toast, grind and blend our spices in-house. You add a few ingredients and put the pot on.

The flavours we grew up with. Dinner you made yourself.
